wow we have very similar storys tyler. my cousin was the first person to ask me to go hunting. our favorite spot is also just one of those things you stummble on. we found this spot one day when we were fishing. it was late august and we decided to go for a trek through the woods to get to a new fishing hole we heard about from the landowner. well long story short there was sign everywhere and we've hunted there ever since. also that is a reallly nice spot tyler.

Hey Tyler—nice video, and great story of how your hunting spot came to be. Thanks for sharing.

I found a spot like that by accident as well when I lived in central Pennsylvania. It was not far from where I lived, and every time I drove by this piece of property, I saw some nice deer. So I did some research, found out who the landowner’s name and address, and I wrote a letter asking for permission to hunt. A few days later, I got a call and invitation to visit with him. Low and behold it was a terrific piece of property, and while he had NEVER let anyone outside his family hunt there, he appreciated the letter and my consideration, and gave me permission to archery hunt.

Funny thing is that despite having some of my best Pennsylvania hunts on his place, I never harvested a deer from the property. I just had a good time. He ended up becoming a great family friend, and though I’ve since moved away, we still keep in touch.

Good stuff man. Keep it up.
