Please leave what you find.

It may not seem like a big deal to take home a souvenir, but animals actually need the things we find in nature to take care of themselves and their families. After all, this is their home.

Please stay on the trail.

Every step you take matters, so put your best foot forward to protect what you see. Wandering off-trail not only causes erosion, but can actually kill the plants you step on. And some of those plants, believe it or not, can take 300 years to grow back.

Please clean up dog waste and trash.

Nobody wants to see litter or dog waste while out enjoying nature. In addition to ruining a beautiful view, the bacteria and viruses in waste can make animals sick and end up in the water we drink, creating health hazards.

Please give wildlife their space.

There’s plenty of room outside for everyone to enjoy. If you come across an animal, “ooooh” and “aaaah” all you want, but please keep your distance and be respectful of their space. Making loud noises and trying to feed them scares them, and the stress can cause them to get sick.
